ONION WHT SWEET SPANISH

The White Sweet Spanish Onion plant produces beautiful large one pound globe style onions. This onion is great for soups and salads requiring a mild onion flavor. Can be picked as bunching onions Direct seed in April or May or as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Onions are very tolerant of frost as long as their roots have had a chance to take hold. The best soil for onions is humus-rich sands, light loams and high organic matter and peat soils. Sow seeds 1-2 per inch 1/4" to 1/2" deep. Thin to 3"-4" for larger onions. Use thinning like scallions or chives. Keep well weeded to prevent competition. Water 1" per week. LAKE VALLEY SEED
