The most secure method for mounting newel posts to finished floors. Uses floor joists for support. No additional framing needed; needs no mortising or coping. Will not loosen over time. Installs in as little as 10 minutes. Exceeds stair code strength requirement. 13 threads at top, 5" smooth area, and 23 threads at the bottom floor joist end. Total length 10-3/4".
